This is so beautiful. I used to think about this often while riding the subway, or walking the avenues. People all around you, and yet you are so alone.

People are beautiful.

The best thing a stranger on the subway ever said to me on late night was ”Excuse me, but you’re beautiful, I hope our paths cross again.” And in one second they were gone forever.

If you’re from New York, or live there watch this.

It will touch you, and you’ll understand immediately why.

God I miss it, for the rest of my life the grasp that New York City has on my heart will never be released.

Each one of us has our own words that need to be heard. Wouldn’t life be more interesting if we just talked to random people and open up to others?! What are we so afraid of? Rejection, feeling stupid? But if we get past these emotions, we might come to realizations that it was worth it. Everyone has a story.
